Quilter

A quilt is not a quilt until it's quilted

Wow 6 months!

It doesn't seem possible that it is 6 months since I last posted. I am now totally comfortable with my new robot and have quilted quite a number of quilts on it. There are a few features I haven't yet used but I will.

I had a great day yesterday - First off I had a customer bring her quilt that she wants me to baste. What with having a cup of coffee and chatting about quilting generally, that lasted over an hour and a half. Straight after that I took a number of quilts to show to the Tuesday morning patchwork group in Watton, Norfolk (UK)where I live. The visit was very well received - they liked my quilting.

Straight from there I went for the first time to a 'Wayland Women In Business' lunch. The guest speaker was Claire Martinsen (www.brecklandorchard.co.uk). She started a small business, on a very low buget, about 18 months ago, making lightly fizzy fruit drinks based on her grandmothers recipes. I met so many truly talented people at the lunch and was given some very good marketing advice. I was also pointed in the direction of 2 Norfolk WIRE (Women In Rural Enterprise) groups - one is South Norfolk and the other is in Norwich. I am sure that I will attend the Norwich group.

Today is going to be much less high pressure. I have 4 friends that I used to work with coming to lunch. Chat - Chat -Chat -Chat -Chat - ...
